Everything that Mr. Bucci says about DIY credit repair is completely true: you can dispute information on your credit report and have it taken off; and you can get a free copy of your credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com.

However, we feel the need to expand on Mr. Bucci’s summary of credit repair. First of all, if credit repair were truly that easy, wouldn’t everybody be doing it themselves? The fact is, the tools are there for anybody to repair their own credit. It just so happens that results are often hard to gather and difficult to decipher.
